Last stop on the uptown 6. There is an overpass that leads you directly to Pelham Bay Park. This station has elevators, that are dirty and don't always work. There is a Dunkin Donuts right across the street and a magazine stand downstairs from the train station. This train station has always been filthy. The good thing is that there is never a long wait for the train going downtown.
Park or station? This location should be renamed to avoid confusion.
I was originally going to rate this a 5 but I'm knocking it down to a 3 because the trash at the end of the walkway over the Bruckner has really old trash on it. Clean it up already!
This is a review of the station. It was very nice. It needs a Citibike Dock though.
I was impressed that the emergency gate was card actuated. A nice touch. I always use them when I have my bike.
My reviews tend to be bike oriented. I don't own a car but will rent one on vacations. If this perspective interests you. You may want to follow my reviews. Google Maps does not have a keyword for bike or biking. Why is that?
A really great local park located in upper part of the Bronx has a lot of open spaces for picnics, running, sports, activities and much more has a great little dog park too also a great running track too any one passing by should definitely check this park out
More spacious since its upgrade. More room to walk around and maneuver. Buses stops are more spread out for less crowding.
I have been a regular at this park since 2010. But now I don't live in NYC anymore. Even then, whenever I visit the Bronx, I always come here! Best place for a walk, bike ride, run or picnic. Great atmosphere and nice paved pathways.
It is a subway station. There are a few bums that always seem to be there. Also there is some religious fringe group handing out fliers.
MONOPOLY COMPANY IS THE MTA! Been living here for 20 years and Pelham bay mta workers don't do anything to improve the service nor their attitudes. They think they're police! The clerk (not cop) doesn't do anything but I bet is getting a hefty paycheck. The cleaners DO NOT CLEAN! They come out of a government program and are definitely not educated and not fit to cater to people on the train.
The mop is really wet when they mop so people slip when they get on, no one cleans up the station its always dirty FILLED with homeless crazy people who they do not wake and tell them it's the last stop to get them off the train ride they don't even pay for! so becareful! The seats are dirty! They will not clean unless you tell them that it's dirty and not even they'll look at you like it's your job to stand.
It's just a really disgusting station with people who take advantage of the MTAs money. The conductors are ALWAYS LATE with exceptions to some! I totally block out that I even take the train over the weekend! It's like a horrible nightmare ride that we have to take cuz it's the only method of getting to the city.
End of the 6! This station has an adorable subway car themed entrance. When I was there, a pigeon got on my car and calmly commuted to Zerega Avenue where he politely disembarked. I love the MTA.
